"Support Takes Forever to Reply!!!"
Getting a response from support has been really frustrating!!! I’ve emailed them a few times and they almost never get back to me!!! It feels like I’m just waiting around with no idea if anyone even saw my message!!!

"Advisor support was... fine, I guess"
The classes themselves were okay, so I’ll give them that. But dealing with advisors was frustrating, even though I’m trying to be totally calm about it. Replies took forever, and depending on who I talked to, I’d get a different answer. Super relaxing, obviously. I ended up figuring out most things on my own, which wasn’t ideal. It’s not like the whole school was terrible, but the support side could definitely use some work.

"Valencia College has felt like a smart place..."
Valencia College has felt like a smart place to start college, mostly because the tuition is actually affordable. I was stressed about how I’d manage the cost of school, but compared to other options, it makes the whole idea of getting a degree feel a lot more possible.
The website also makes it easy to look up costs without having to dig around forever. It’s not flashy, but it does what I need, and for me that matters because starting college already feels like a big step toward building something better.

"I’ve been on campus for a while..."
I’ve been on campus for a while now, and most days I feel safe walking around. I usually see security around during the day and even later in the evening, which helps. My only real issue is the parking lots, especially when I leave after a late class, I wish they were better lit.

"I chose Valencia because I figured..."
I chose Valencia because I figured transferring would be straightforward, but it was way more confusing than I expected. I talked to different advisors and got different answers, which made it hard to know what I was actually supposed to do. Even after all that, some of my credits still didn’t line up the way I thought they would. Maybe other people have a smoother time with it, but for me, the whole transfer plan was kind of a headache.

"I’ve felt welcome at Valencia"
From my experience, Valencia has a welcoming vibe overall. I’ve had classes with people from all kinds of backgrounds, which I really appreciate, and most of the staff I’ve interacted with have been respectful. I do think some campus events could be advertised better, because I’ve missed a few just from not hearing about them in time, but overall I’ve felt like inclusion is genuinely part of the environment.

"Facilities could use some attention"
I’ve been at Valencia for a bit now, and overall the campus is fine, but the facilities can really depend on where you are. Some rooms are clean and decent, while others feel outdated with uncomfortable chairs, weak AC, or projectors that act up when you actually need them
Parking is easily one of the most frustrating parts, especially if you have morning classes. The bathrooms could also be taken care of better. It’s not the worst place, but with what students are paying, I expected things to be maintained a little better
"Online classes felt really frustrating, wasn’t just me right?"
The online classes were kind of a headache for me. Everything felt a bit unorganized, and whenever I reached out to support, the replies came late. I kept wondering if I was the only one struggling with it, but the whole experience just felt messy and stressful.

"Professors really do make it easier"
My professors have been super helpful so far. They explain things in a way that actually makes sense and usually reply to emails quickly. It makes classes feel a lot less stressful, which I really appreciate.

"Valencia’s career services helped me more than I..."
Valencia’s career services helped me more than I thought they would, honestly. I figured I’d maybe get a couple basic tips, but it ended up being more useful than that.
I used the resume help and did a mock interview sometime before applying for internships. The advisor was easy to talk to, gave me honest feedback, and didn’t make me feel awkward for asking questions that were probably kind of basic.
The job board was useful too and wasn’t hard to figure out. I found a handful of real options on there, maybe more than I expected. Overall, it’s solid support if you actually take a little time to use it.

"The admissions process was confusing for me. I..."
The admissions process was confusing for me. I kept waiting on slow replies, and it felt like no one clearly explained what I was supposed to do next. Even my sister was trying to help me figure it out, but we both ended up feeling kind of lost

"Classes are okay, but you really have to be patient"
The classes are mostly fine, and some of the teachers are actually really helpful. But it can feel like you’re being forced to stay patient sometimes, especially when things move slowly or aren’t explained clearly right away. Overall, it’s okay, just not always the easiest experience...

"Registration Was Smooth Overall"
I’m thankful that registering on valenciacollege.edu went smoothly for the most part. The class search was easy enough to use, and I was able to get through everything without feeling too stressed. A couple of steps were a little confusing, and a few pages took longer to load once or twice, but overall it worked and helped me get what I needed done.
"Paperwork was surprisingly smooth"
The admin side at Valencia went way easier than I expected. My forms were taken care of quickly, emails got answered faster than I thought they would, and I didn’t really have to keep following up with people. Kind of a nice surprise, honestly.

"Support helps, but it usually takes forever"
The advisors were helpful once they got back to me, but the replies took a few days. It feels like support teams are always slow no matter where you go, so I wasn’t too surprised, but it was still a bit frustrating.

"Hard to find a class that works"
I’m not sure if it’s just my schedule or what, but almost every class I try to sign up for is either already full or only offered at really odd times. It’s been frustrating trying to plan around it.

"Student life felt dull"
The student life was kind of boring. It felt really quiet most of the time, and I had a hard time figuring out where the clubs or activities even were. Most people seemed to just go to class and leave right after, so it wasn’t that easy to meet anyone. I also got transferred around when I tried asking for help, which was frustrating and made the whole experience feel even more disconnected.

"Scheduling works, but you have to stay on top of it"
My experience with class scheduling at Valencia has been kind of hit or miss. I did appreciate that some classes had online or evening options, especially when I was working part time and couldn’t always be on campus in the middle of the day.
The frustrating part was that the classes I really needed seemed to fill up fast, sometimes before I even had a chance to plan everything out. A couple were only offered at odd times, like late afternoon, or only on one specific campus, which made things harder. It’s manageable, but you definitely want to register early and not wait around
